Prydsblog.com has moved! The new home of this blog is at my old website – pryds.com.  It just seems easier to have it all in one place – website, news updates, blog posts, articles and art archives. We've cleaned out the old pryds.com site's content and are now building the new site from scratch, more or less, but keeping the best from the old prydsblog.com and pryds.com websites.

Berlingske Nyhedsmagasin nomineret for godt design

Berlingske Busines Magasin er nomineret i hele tre kategorier i designkonkurrencen MDID 02, der organiseres af foreningen Magasindesignere i Danmark MDID). Et af foreningen formål er "at sætte fokus på og udvikle viden, færdigheder, forståelse for nødvendigheden af redaktionelt design". Konkurrencen afholdes i år for anden gang, sidste år vandt BNY hæder i konkurrencen.

Berlingske Business Magasin - eller Berlingske Nyhedsmagasin, som magasinet hed i 2011, hvor de indsendte bidrag skal være publiceret – er i år nomineret i følgende kategorier:

Årets forside (fagblad/specialmagasin):
Forsiden fra 9. nov. 2011 - "Vores øl", Niels Ahlmann Olesens foto af en russisk øl, der har knækket halsen, efter idé af Laurits Harmer Lassen og Lars Pryds.

Årets hele historie (fagblad/specialmagasin):
Vibeke Daell Bjerrums artikel fra 15. juni 2011 om den danske detailhandel, der går glip af væksteventyr, designet af Lars Pryds.

Og endelig i kategorien Årets fagblad/specialmagasin:
Hele Indien-nummeret den 29. juni 2011 om Det besværlige væksteventyr - ikke mindst båret af Morten Germunds flotte fotografier til artikler af Søren Springborg og Vibeke Daell Bjerrums og en kraftfuld illustration udført af Mai-Britt Bernt Jensen.

SNDS Magazine nominated in design competition

An article about the terror attack on Norway has been nominated in the Danish competition for magazine design, MDID 02. The ten pages, entitled "Norway under attack", was published in SNDS Magazine 3, 2011, show examples of how Scandinavian newspapers chose to report the tragedy on their cover page in the first few days after the event. The article is nominated in the category "Trade or Special Magazine of the Year".

This is the second time the competition takes place, organized by MDID – Magazine Designers in Denmark. MDID aims to "focus on and develop knowledge, skills, and understanding of the necessity of editorial design". All winners in the competition's 21 categories will be announced at a gala dinner party on 25 May 2012, and will be published on the organization's website www.grafiskkollegium.dk/mdid.
