Our good friend down under, India Flint, is giving an artist talk on Saturday 3 October. She sends this info:
Greetings all,
if you're in Adelaide next week, you might like to swing by the Following Threads exhibition at the Adelaide Festival Centre.
In the event you might be interested in joining a workshop in New Zealand in the second week of March 2010, please email <marion@beautifulsilks.com> for details. The workshop is entitled 'Wandering in Fields and Forests' and involves exploration of country through writing, drawing, stitch and dye. It runs March 7-11 and is fully residential on an organic farm at Waiuku [about 40 minutes from Auckland International Airport]
and if you happen to be situated in North America and don't yet have a copy of Eco Colour, I'm delighted to be able to advise that the book will be published there [minus rather a lot of its "u"s] on July 1 [also next year].
Speaking of things across the Big Blue Puddle, I'm very much looking forward to teaching at Shakerag in Tennessee next year. I'll be offering two consecutive classes 'A Walk in the Woods' June 13-19 and 'Quiltfelt Landskin' June 20-26.
Have a lovely Spring if you're a Southron and enjoy the Fall if you're North of the Equator
best wishes
India
